About
Inside the Newsletter
Every issue breaks down the biggest stories, the takes worth arguing about, the stats that matter, and the headlines moving the league — across the NBA and college hoops.
Mission
Most basketball content either overwhelms you with stats or gives you surface-level takes. Hoopvalor sits in the middle — quick, sharp, and actually useful — so you can understand the game faster than others.
Hoopvalor exists to make basketball easier to understand, more fun to follow, and impossible to ignore. We cover the NBA and college basketball with the right mix of numbers, storytelling, and culture — giving fans real insight without the boring overkill.
Whether it’s a March Madness buzzer-beater or a Game 7 meltdown, we’re here to deliver the moments and meaning behind the game — fast, free, and made for today’s hoop fans.

How it Started
Basketball has always been more than a game to me. It’s like an art form. Post my college basketball career, I transitioned into a career in corporate finance where I realized there was a gap between basketball coverage and the kind of authentic, entertaining storytelling fans actually love.
Fans don’t just want box scores or hot takes. They want to understand what’s actually happening around the game — the trends shaping the season, the stats that matter, the debates worth having, and the games everyone should be watching.
Hoopvalor was built to bring all of that together — stats, trends, takes, and basketball culture in one place. It’s for fans who want to stay informed, laugh a little, argue about the game, and keep up with everything happening across the NBA and college hoops.
